The Balerno 2G #PitchFever project has attracted fantastic support and October saw its grand opening by local Olympian Graham Moodie. A few weeks later, additional football and hockey goals arrived courtesy of Cala Homes, followed more recently by much appreciated new floodlights gifted by Hallidays.

Whilst school groups and clubs have been making good use of the facility, work has been underway to transfer the lease over from Edinburgh City Council. We are now able to announce the formation of a new charitable body, Balerno 2G SCIO (SC047187), to hold the lease, manage the pitch and encourage its wider use by the local community. Thanks to all who have helped make this possible.

So why not get a group together and book a one-off or regular slot on our very own 2G? Whether it’s 5-a-side, adult hockey, sprint training, kids football parties, Scout games, walking football, or church youth club sports, we have a great facility ready and waiting to be used – so visit our web site, get your astros on and come along down!

Check the Balerno 2G booking calendar page for pitch availability and follow the links below for more information on the story so far….
